ILADD to Celebrate Completion of Crossbridge Point Homes on July 29
Community Invited to Celebrate Historic Milestone for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
ZIONSVILLE, Ind. – ILADD, Inc. (Independent Living for Adults with
Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities) invites the community to celebrate the
completion of Crossbridge Point, a unique neighborhood within Wild Air in Zionsville
designed to provide homeownership opportunities for adults with intellectual and
developmental disabilities who wish to live as independently as possible in a supportive,
welcoming community.
The public celebration will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at
Crossbridge Point in Zionsville. Community members, supporters, partners, and families
are invited to attend as ILADD recognizes the completion of the neighborhood’s first
homes and celebrates the vision that has become a reality.
Crossbridge Point includes 17 homes created specifically for ILADD
self-advocates—adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who desire to live
independently. One of the homes, the ILADD Learning Home, is owned by ILADD to
host independent living skills classes and assessments and other activities for all
self-advocates that ILADD serves. The neighborhood represents years of planning,
collaboration, and community investment while providing families with peace of mind
knowing their loved ones have a safe, stable place to call home.
“Crossbridge Point is about dignity, choice, belonging, and independence,” said Andy
Kirby, Executive Director of ILADD. “Our self-advocates want the same opportunities
as everyone else—to live in a home of their own, be part of a neighborhood, and build
meaningful relationships with neighbors and friends. This celebration marks the
beginning of a new chapter for the individuals and families ILADD serves.”
Crossbridge Point has been made possible through a partnership with Old Town
Companies, the neighborhood’s developer and builder. Old Town’s commitment to
supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through thoughtful,community-focused development has been instrumental in bringing this innovative
housing model to life.
Capital Campaign Nears Completion
The celebration also highlights the beginning of the final phase of ILADD’s Bridges to
Independence Capital Campaign. The campaign has already achieved over 80% of its
$3.2 million goal for the building and maintenance of the ILADD Learning Home, Activity
Center, and other features of Crossbridge Point. The Activity Center, to be completed in
mid-2027, will serve as the heart of the neighborhood, providing space for life skills
education, health and wellness programming, social gatherings, and inclusive
community events.
To help complete the campaign, a generous donor has pledged to match every gift
dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000, providing supporters with the opportunity to double the
impact of their contribution.
“We are incredibly grateful for this matching gift and for the tremendous support our
community has shown throughout this campaign,” Kirby said. “Every contribution helps
us create more opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to
live, learn, connect, and thrive.”
