Relationship Class

Growing Friendships and Relationships is an 8-week class that will meet each Tuesday between 9/23 and 11/11 from 6:00 – 8:00 at the ILADD Sunshine Barn (4025 Whitestown Parkway).

This new ILADD program is designed especially for our self-advocates as they continue building independence outside their family homes and within their communities. Using the CIRCLES curriculum as our foundation, we’ll take a deeper look at friendships and relationships—exploring how to set healthy boundaries, strengthen social connections, and navigate different types of relationships with confidence.

This class is best suited for self-advocates who already have a basic understanding of relationships (similar to those who have previously taken ILADD’s CIRCLES Relationship Class, but that is not a requirement). We’ll begin with a brief overview of the CIRCLES framework before diving into key topics such as self-esteem, boundaries, healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, communication in the workplace, forming friendships, recognizing what makes a relationship successful, and strategies for maintaining relationships over time.

Please note: This is not a dating class. However, we will include introductory information about how friendships and relationships can develop and grow over time.

Registration is required. This session of classes will be limited to the first 12 self-advocates who register. If you attempt to register and the class is full, you will be put on a wait list for a later class/date.
