ILADD Selected for a 2022 Impact Matching Grant Up to $30,000 by Community Foundation of Boone County

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ZIONSVILLE, INDIANA (April 28, 2022) – ILADD, Inc. announced today that it was selected to receive a 2022 Impact Matching Grant of up to $30,000 from the Community Foundation of Boone County (CFBC) to improve the lives of adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) in Boone County. Every dollar donated directly to ILADD between May 1 and Sept. 1, 2022, will be matched by the CFBC up to the maximum amount awarded.

According to its press release, “In 2020 and 2021, CFBC awarded matching grants to participating nonprofits with the goal of partnering with Boone County nonprofits to address their needs and the Boone County residents they serve. [This year] CFBC invited eligible Boone County-serving nonprofits to apply for a limited number of competitive impact matching grants, with preference given to programming focused on elderly, disabled, or mental health.”

“ILADD is very grateful to CFBC for this generous fundraising opportunity,” said Tom Easterday, president of ILADD. “Our programs are serving an unmet need for adults with IDD in Boone County and beyond, and this matching grant provides a tremendous opportunity to increase funding to expand our programs and serve more adults with IDD. We are excited to kick off LADD’s $30,000 matching grant fundraising campaign in early May.”

ILADD is an Indiana 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in October 2019 with a mission to provide housing, enrichment/educational programs, and social options that enable adults with IDD to live in homes of their own and enjoy fulfilling and meaningful lives in their communities.

Since its formation, ILADD programs have grown to serve about 70 adults with IDD through its independent living classes, social outings, and clubs including Book Club, Hiking Club, and Game Club. ILADD recently launched its Community Service Club. ILADD also offers informational seminars and networking opportunities for self-advocates, families, guardians, caregivers, and the public. Earlier this month ILADD announced that The Sunshine Society had donated eight acres including an activity barn to ILADD to help expand ILADD’s program resources.
