ILADD Appoints Matthew Fultz as Executive Director

ZIONSVILLE, INDIANA (August 1, 2022) – ILADD, Inc. announced today that Matthew Fultz has been appointed as its new Executive Director. Fultz brings over a decade of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to his new role, including service as a nonprofit executive. He will lead ILADD’s efforts to provide housing, enrichment/educational programs, and social options that enable adults with IDD to live in homes of their own and enjoy fulfilling and meaningful lives in their communities.

Fultz served for over seven years as the Coordinator of Career Services for Outside the Box, Inc., an Indianapolis nonprofit serving individuals with IDD, before being appointed as its Executive Director in April 2019. Prior to his work at Outside the Box, he was a Revenue Officer for the Internal Revenue Service and an Intelligence Analyst for the United States Air Force. He also serves as a member of the Mayor’s Advisory Council on Disability in Indianapolis.

Fultz holds a Master of Public Administration Degree with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Indiana Wesleyan University, a Certificate in Supported Employment from Virginia Commonwealth University and Bachelor of General Studies with an Arts & Humanities concentration from Indiana University.

Since its formation in October 2019, ILADD programs have grown to serve about 70 adults with IDD through its independent living classes, social outings, and clubs, including Book Club, Hiking Club, Community Service Club and Game Club. ILADD recently launched a Self-Advocates Group. ILADD also offers informational seminars and networking opportunities for self-advocates, families, guardians, caregivers, and the public.

“We are very excited to have Matt join our ILADD Team,” said Tom Easterday, President of ILADD. “His extensive nonprofit management experience, many years of working with individuals with IDD and his passion for serving those with disabilities make him the ideal candidate to help further expand ILADD’s programs and oversee our efforts to provide a neuro-diverse housing community and promote full inclusion of adults with IDD in our society.”
