Andy Kirby, Executive Director

Before joining the ILADD team, Andy served as the Chief Operations Officer for The Arc of Indiana, a nonprofit with 46 chapters covering 68 counties serving and advocating for people with IDD. Before his work at The Arc of Indiana, he was the Executive Director of The Arc of Greater Boone County. Kirby began his career at Carey Services, a nonprofit based in Grant County that provides services to people with IDD, serving in multiple roles over ten years, including Director of Adult Services and Chief of Business Operations. He then became the Vice President of Industrial Operations for Bona Vista Programs, a nonprofit in Howard County that also provides services to people with IDD, before being appointed Executive Director of The Arc of Greater Boone County in 2015. 

Since 2012, Kirby has also served as a Surveyor for the Commission for the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and he is a member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Indiana. Kirby has been a member of ILADD’s Advisory Council since 2020. He received the 2022 Rising Star Award from The Arc of the United States.

Kirby holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
