ILADD Gets its 501(c)(3) Tax Exemption
We are pleased to report that in February 2020, ILADD received a letter from the IRS that we had been determined to be tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3). The IRS further determined that we are classified as a public charity.
This means that individuals, organizations, corporation, and foundations that want to support our mission to provide housing, enrichment, and social options for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) can do so through gifts of cash, services, and goods and their contributions may be tax-deductible based on their individual tax situations.
ILADD will actively solicit and consider accepting donations of real property, specifically land, building materials, equipment, labor, and related professional services that enable us to develop and manage our community to benefit our exempt purposes at lower cost, and that are free of any conditions or agreements.
