NEW Activities and Outings planned for the next few months.

ILADD is happy to announce that we have some fun and exciting new activities and groups planned over the next few months! Please see the activities and descriptions below. Register for any event by emailing program.manager@iladdinc.org.

ILADD Community Service Club: We are forming a group that will perform community service within the Zionsville, Whitestown, and Lebanon areas. We will be looking for ways that our self-advocates and their families can give back to their community. We have our first few community service opportunities set up:

Saturday, 4/16 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Whitestown Parks setting up and distributing eggs for their Easter Egg Hunt. Learn more on the events calendar page.

Tuesday, 5/24 3:30-7:30 at Shalom House preparing and serving food to people of Boone County. Learn more about the Shalom House community service event here.

ILADD Self Advocates Group:

Self-Advocacy is learning how to speak up for yourself, making your own decisions about your own life, learning how to get information so that you can understand things that are of interest to you, finding out who will support you in your journey, knowing your rights and responsibilities, and learning to be a problem solver. The ILADD Self-Advocates Group will meet on the first Monday of each month. Mark your calendars for Monday, 5/2, and 6/6 as we bring in guest speakers from Self Advocates of Indiana from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm to learn more about self-advocacy and how to ensure all people with disabilities are valued and treated equally. **More information and links to calendar events coming soon**

ILADD Social Outing:

Saturday, 4/30 1:15 - 3:30 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

We will be treated to a "Kiss the Bricks" tour around the IMS oval and when have a guided tour of the IMS Museum. Learn more about the Indianapolis Motor Speedway event here.
