ILADD Self-Advocates Group
Our Self-Advocates Group meets monthly to discuss communication skills, advocacy, self-determination, and developing leadership skills. The group has elected officers who plan and lead this monthly meeting with fun and educational activities and conversations.
Self-Advocacy is learning how to speak up for yourself, making your own decisions about your own life, learning how to get information so that you can understand things that are of interest to you, finding out who will support you in your journey, knowing your rights and responsibilities, and learning to be a problem solver.
The ILADD Self-Advocates Group will meet on the first Monday of each month. Please visit our events calendar to learn more about each event. Don’t forget to like and follow the ILADD Facebook and Instagram pages as we post updates and informative announcements frequently.
